Job Description:

Assist or coordinate student academic functions for the MSBA program such as program delivery, registration, student advising, admissions, financial aid, or student placement. May supervise clerical personnel. Associate Director will help ensure the effective and successful delivery of the MSBA program. Primary responsibilities will include student registration, grade roll audits, advising and supporting students, and acting as a liaison/representative for the MSBA internally and externally in partnership with the program’s Managing Director and Associate Dean.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Having knowledge or exposure to technical data and analytics programs is preferred.

  • Familiarity with international student affairs is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in the school’s or program’s area of specialty or related field. Five years of experience in program delivery and management, student affairs, advising or related field.

Additional Details

  • Support the Associate Dean in the annual review and refinement of the curriculum as needed

  • Support the Associate Dean in the planning and coordination of the pre-fall, boot camp, and orientation activities

  • Plan and coordinate with MSBA Admissions to ensure students have a seamless transition into the on-campus academic experience

  • Organize orientation and other miscellaneous events related to the program

  • Work with Registrar to create course slate per term

  • Advise students on required courses and credit hours for each term

  • Support MSBA faculty in the setup of Canvas, coordinating rooms, etc…

  • Coordinate with GBS IT for student access

  • Create and update master calendar

  • Maintain policies (honor code, conduct code, student handbook, etc…) and ensure updated on student portal

  • Manage academic content of program website

  • Coordinate grading of students’ courses at end of each term

  • Notify MSBA Associate Dean of student progress

  • Confirm final degree audit with Registrar to ensure candidacy requirements are met

  • Represent MSBA program at commencement and on commencement committees

  • Oversee logistics of ceremonies (1 – 2) during commencement period

  • Coordinate annual scholarship awards to students

  • Maintain contact with alumni

  • Assist Associate Dean in managing budget and expenditures

  • Work with ISSS Office to ensure proper VISA/Immigration Status is obtained/maintained for each student

  • Provide data for annual surveys, rankings publications, and accrediting organizations

  • Work closely with other MSBA Program Office team members, support program initiatives and events

  • Work with Financial Aid office to ensure good student standing

Complete other tasks as assigned by Associate Dean, for example:

  • Designing & launching extra-curricular activities that may include:

o Working with the Goizueta Leadership faculty and MSBA Managing Director in building self-assessments (career focused), team 360 evaluations, and using the Birkman (or similar) & teaching Birkman (or similar) workshops for students to help them improve their team building skills.

  • Building Student Services

o Working with students to setup student leadership clubs, processes & procedures

o Designing and building internal websites (accepted student portal, current student portal, as well as career management for MSBA student portal)

o Actively identifying needs of students to build into services offered

  • Leveraging current alumni contacts to:

o Assist Managing Director with finding potential projects

o Help in spread the word about the MSBA to open up placement pipelines

o Help the program office build a speaker series for students & alumni on business analytics

  • Managing efforts on Social Media for MSBA

o Reach prospective students

o Keep alumni with interest in data analytics engaged and up to speed on events/students/subjects within the MSBA

o Work with Career Services on maintaining presence

  • Supporting the Goizueta Business Analytics Conference

o Help plan, coordinate, and execute along with other MSBA program office staff
