Emory University Neuroscientist - Faculty Research Position in atlanta, Georgia

The Department of Neurosurgery at Emory University School of Medicine invites Ph.D. neuroscientists to apply for a faculty research position. The Department is seeking applications at the Assistant Professor level, but accomplished mid-career or senior scientists at the level of Associate or full Professor with strong records of research productivity, grant support and a demonstrated collaborative spirit are also encouraged to apply. Candidate research interests may focus on either basic or disease related neuroscience with special attention given to those applying state-of-the-art computational, imaging, and/or electrophysiological approaches to decipher human basic brain mechanisms. The Department of Neurosurgery at Emory, including primary and affiliated faculty, has a culture of research with strong collaborative ties to Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Physiology. Research centers established within the department are already focused on mechanisms and interventions related to learning and memory, emotion, sleep-wake control, and behavioral neuromodulation.
