The Division of Gynecologic Specialties is seeking an Epidemiology faculty candidate for an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Successful applicants will serve as research investigator in the area of dissemination and implementation science, particularly in the area of emerging infectious diseases and population health, and will contribute to the research, teaching and service missions of the Division. The Department offers competitive salary, benefits, and access to state-of the-art core facilities.
Contributes to identifying specific focused research projects and ensuring that these projects are completed and disseminated through peer-reviewed publications. Provides technical and scientific expertise for programs in the areas of communicable disease, chronic disease and environmental epidemiology. Designs, conducts and reports on the epidemiological study of diseases, collects and analyzes data and develops health education materials. Manages and participates in investigations and surveys that have national and international impact. Conducts program research and prepares operational and statistical reports. May write publishable articles and papers.
Candidates should have a PhD in epidemiology or related field with significant research training in a relevant field, substantive experience in infectious disease, and an outstanding record of research accomplishments.
