JOB DESCRIPTION: Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data. Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained. Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate. Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs. Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in processes and standards related to data OR a bachelor's degree.
We are looking for a full-time Data Analyst to join a team of cystic fibrosis (CF) scientists, physicians, and research coordinators to manage our CF Biospecimen Repository (CF-BR). The CF-BR collects patient-derived specimens from CF patients being followed at the Emory+Children’s CF Care Center, links these samples to an extensive clinical database, and provides these biologic samples and meta data to investigators in order to understand the pathobiology of this disease with the ultimate goal of translating this new knowledge into better treatment strategies.We offer a dynamic work environment and competitive salary and seek an individual who feels at ease while working with a diverse, interdisciplinary team, and who will demonstrate initiative and growth in this position. Although the majority of the work done by the person filling this position will be data management and analysis, some time will be spentprocessing biologic samples from patients based on standardized protocols.
