Emory University Cancer Conference Assistant Coordinator in atlanta, Georgia

The cancer conference coordinator is responsible for the coordination and documentation of all tumor board meetings throughout Emory Healthcare facilities. Maintain all necessary Commission on Cancer and continuing education documentation, including meeting minutes and physician attendance rosters and continued medical education credits.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring of cancer conference website and mailbox to collect physician case requests to present at cancer conference.

  • Creation of annual tumor board schedules

  • Support and collaboration with tumor board moderators, physician presenters and clinical staff.

  • Prepare cancer conference documentation (agenda, minutes and attendance log).

  • Prepares and disseminates all tumor board announcements and case lists with appropriate physician and allied health professionals.

  • Provided onsite/or remote support to physician moderators for each tumor conference.

  • Coordinate all audio visual needs for Emory cancer conference network and affiliate sites.

  • Prepare and maintain annual tumor board schedule with up-to-date info on course director, points of contact, meeting time during the week, and access info; also updates such info on the cancer network intranet.

  • Prepares, completes, and maintains all cancer conference tumor board documentation. (Minutes, Survey Application Records, Cancer Conference Summaries, & Tumor Board Grids).

  • Monitoring and submission of tumor board participants annual CMEs and conference evaluations.

  • Attend each cancer conference- either in person or remotely.

Preferred experience:

  • Previous experience in a professional administrative support or coordinator position preferred (scheduling meetings, transcribing of meeting minutes, meeting agenda and notifications).

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy & physiology, disease processes and treatment methods.

  • Requires strong organization, written and verbal skills, customer service skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and meet deadlines.

  • Must possess a high level of computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • oncology is a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
