The Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a qualified Hand Surgeon to join our faculty in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. This is a full time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The faculty rank and salary of the appointment will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicants.

 

SUMMARY of DUTIES: In addition to clinical duties with an active inpatient and outpatient practice, this is also an academic position requiring research, teaching and mentoring responsibilities. You would be expected to develop academic and research interests, contribute to the field, and publish at least one to two peer reviewed articles a year. We would expect you to participate in Surgery’s clinical education, training and development of Plastic Surgery residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Board certified in Plastic Surgery. • Must possess a valid unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Georgia. • Must possess a valid controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate. • Must sign the Non-Compete Agreement of The Emory Clinic, Inc. as a condition of employment.
